Velex, Inc. is hiring a Crane Operator in the following area(s): Benicia, CA.

Who We're Looking For:

Velex is currently looking for a Crane Operator to join our growing team.

What You'll Do:

• Operate a mobile crane to lift, move, position, and reposition loads.


• Take complete charge of all safety pertaining to the set-up, knockdown, and operation of crane


• Drive truck to worksites and unload trucks


• Keep their crane and associated equipment clean and in good working order


• Follow proper safety procedures when using power tools and test equipment


• Maintain and submit complete and accurate files/logs/pictures/reports as determined by supervisor and/or other management personnel.


• Develop and maintain a positive company image, to provide a strong example of quality, safety, and professionalism both internally with fellow employees and externally with customers


• Provides superior customer service, ensuring all essential job functions are performed in a timely, efficient, accurate, and safe manner


• Adhere to all driving requirements as determined by State and Federal regulations


• Adhere to all Company and industry (i.e., OSHA) standards/regulations


• Maintain a clean and presentable vehicle at all times


• Other duties as assigned

The Skills and Background You'll Bring:

• Ability to and experience with operating a mobile crane to lift, move, position, and reposition loads.


• Valid driver’s license and insurance and driver history that complies with company motor vehicle policy


• Valid CDL Class B License


• Valid NCCCO/CCO Crane Operator License


• Must be able to pass a DOT physical


• Must be 21 years of age or older


• Must be able to pass a drug and background test


• Must be able to sit, stand, walk, and drive or ride in vehicle for long periods of time


• Must be available to travel up to 100% for weeks at a time if required and flexible to work shift work to include maintenance window and weekends if needed


• Good oral and written communications skills and the ability to speak, write, and read English


• OSHA Safety standards certification preferred


• Ability to work in extreme year-round outdoor environmental conditions
