POSITION SUMMARY:

The Driver/Material Handler will be assisting the Lead Material handler and making all deliveries. Delivery locations will include but are not limited to Riverside CA, Los Angeles CA, Bakersfield CA area, San Diego CA. Phoenix AZ, and Las Vegas NV. Some delivery areas may require an overnight stay from time to time before returning to Riverside CA.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work within the laws of different states; knowledge of their driving laws and regulations.
• Operate a variety of powered vehicles on and off the road in the movement of chassis, trailers and customer owned vehicles for one location to another.
• Transport chassis to and from areas needed.
• Pick up and deliver units up to 300 miles from our plants.
• Work and adhere to all safety policies within the work area and throughout the company.
• Read and interpret written orders and apply to task at hand.
• Work required schedule including overtime.
• Record written information or product and any movement.
• Keep log book up to date.
• Perform other duties as required by management.

EXPERTISE REQUIRED / MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or equivalent GED preferred.
• Current and valid state issued driver's license.
• Class B CDL preferred, but not required
• Must be able to drive a 26ft to 28ft box truck
• Prior Shipping/Receiving experience preferred
• Computer literate

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

This job operates in a manufacturing plant environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand (sometimes for extended periods); walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms, and lift up to 35 pounds. The employee may, at times, sit, bend, stoop, squat, reach overhead, or crawl (may be in confined spaces). The employee is expected to perform repetitive tasks using their hands, and have the ability to climb ladders and/or work in high places.
