How you will contribute

Valmont is currently seeking a highly motivated and talented individual for the Roving Tender position in the Composite Department. We are looking for a highly driven individual that will load and string roving creels. Additionally, you will...

• Splice all types of Pultrusion fiberglass roving


• Ensure all available roving is at the front of all roving creels for use


• Verify all roving racks for proper loading to maintain roving availability


• Coordinate with supervision on roving loading to maintain roving availability


• Maintain housekeeping and assist with the shift-end cleanup process while ensuring all DHEC and OSHA requirements are met

What it takes

Required Qualifications

• Ability to use and read tape measures, gauges, hand and portable power tools

• Must exhibit a strong sense of self-motivation

• Ability to stand for extended periods of time, use hand and arms to reach, push, pull stoop, kneel and lift up to 45 lbs. without assistance continuously during a 12-hour shift.


• Work with and around chemicals/solvents and work in hot and cold environments,

Highly qualified candidates will also possess:

• High School diploma or equivalent

• Ability to interpret and follow written and verbal instructions


• Ability to utilize proper decision machine techniques


• Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and independently without daily direction from supervision
