The Business Analyst reports to the General Manager for the North America (NA) Peroxides business and works closely with the NA Peroxides Leadership Team and the Solvay Group Chief Compliance Officer.  
The key responsibilities include assisting the NA Peroxides Leadership Team to improve overall profitability and insights generation, as well as supporting the Compliance team in support of Global initiatives & agenda. This individual should be self-motivated with a high energy personality, that thrives in a fast-paced environment characterized by growth, change, and opportunity to manage multiple objectives and priorities and is able to communicate in a highly collaborative, cross-functional team setting.
Key Responsibilities
  • Sales
Be the primary contact person and team expert for all Commercial Excellence initiatives including supporting the development and implementation of new Commercial Excellence tools and processes. Identify, analyze, and elaborate existent sales processes, including pricing strategies and customer sales.. Provide recommendations and insights into critical business issues through ad-hoc analysis. Develop written procedures outlining key activities relative to commercial processes. Development and implementation of benchmarking tools and KPIs to track progress. Sales forecast consolidation and analysis. Transfer of knowledge and best practices with the commercial team.Support Commercial team in day-to-day operations.
  • Compliance
With input and guidance from the Chief Compliance Officer (CCO), create reports and presentations for the Group's Executive Committee and Board of Directors Audit Committee. Support the Code of Business Integrity deployment and maintenance through management of content and tracking of completion. Support AntiBribery / AntiCorruption program including deployment of training and maintaining records. Support internal campaigns and communications in support of compliance “Speak Up” channel.

  • Business Development
Assist with building training toolkit, transfer of best practices and developing reports on key metrics tied to these activities. Conduct data mining, propose efficiencies to optimize ongoing work, and participate in research initiatives.
  • General Support
Consolidate monthly KPIs. Support special projects such as annual kick-off meeting and annual budget meeting. Coordinate revenue forecasting, budget, and roadmap processes as well as develop written procedures related to these processes. Develop reports, tools and system enhancements in collaboration with IT. Ensure clean, accurate, and updated sales database and master records.



Must be able to work in an office setting (long periods of sitting/typing).


  • Bachelor’s degree required. Discipline in Business or Sciences preferred.

  • Experience in sales or sales controlling is highly desired.

  • Solid understanding of controlling and sales processes as well as profitability.




  • Advanced knowledge in MS-Office, specifically Excel and PowerPoint are required.

  • Must possess strong analytical, investigative and documentation skills.

  • Result-driven team player with very good interpersonal skills, strong business acumen and structured approach.

  • Able to communicate in a highly collaborative, cross-functional team setting.

  • Foreign languages are beneficial.
