RN is to provide clinical care with a primary focus on medication administration and infusion therapy.
PRINICIPLE DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides safe, efficient and compassionate patient care to all infusion patients working in collaboration with medical director, pharmacist, nursing colleagues, clinical director and administrative director
Develop an ongoing implementation of care plan, education and counseling of patients and families
Documents relevant patient information and current plan in EPIC
Performs a full nursing assessment and follows individual plan of care for assigned patients
Prioritize and initiate specific nursing interventions based on ongoing assessment and update the care plan as needed
Implements individualized infusion therapy plan according to policy by:
Reviewing MD Plan
calculating doses of medications
reviewing appropriate lab data
identifying the patient
delivering medications in a safe manner
Performs technical skills accurately
Cooperates and collaborates with nursing colleagues and other providers to provide patient care in a timely manner
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
Graduate of an accredited nursing program
Current MA licensure as a nurse
BSN strongly preferred
Knowledge and experience in the Infusion setting
