What you will do:

You will be responsible for managing Manufacturing Engineering, Maintenance, Quality and Continuous Improvement teams. 

How you will do it:

Enhancing, improving, and developing production equipment and production processes for all Koch Filter facilities:

• Design of and installation of upgrades for better functionality


• Lean implementation – standardized work, VSM, Hoshin-Kanri, Yamazumi


• HSE compliance


• Increased uptime


• Decreased changeover times


• Production efficiency

Automation implementation:

• Design/Spec automation equipment and processes


• Manage vendor process through design/build phases

Maintenance functions including:

• Task management


• Preventative maintenance


• In-house equipment fabrication and machining


• General maintenance (ex. bldg and grounds, etc.)

Project management of all new production equipment including:

• Some or all equipment design work, depending upon project scope and outside vendors


• Procurement of equipment, including RFQ’s and all detailed specifications


• Working closely with outside equipment manufacturers.


• Development of Capital projects, plans, and justifications including Capital Appropriation Requests (CAR)

Continuous Improvement and Lean related functions:

• Ensuring CI/Lean plans are tracked and executed


• Perform as the CI leader of the facility, leading efforts to identify and execute improvements


• Implement Lean manufacturing concepts


• Ensure Quality management system, including ISO-9001:2015, is executed


• Execute concepts of the Johnson Controls Manufacturing System (JCMS) and perform as champion of JCMS concepts relating to Design for Manufacturing and Visual Factory.


• Responsible for all Capex investment management, including upkeep of schedules, RFQ’s, timing, etc.


• Responsible for creation and maintenance of operation standards including items such as instructions and time standards.


• Responsible for implementation and maintenance of elements of standardized manufacturing systems.


• Manage and track key metrics and develop, track, and execute action plans for continuous improvement


• Engineering oversight for Koch’s network of production facilities.

What we look for

Required

• Degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering


• Minimum 10-year experience working in an engineering or technical role in a manufacturing environment


• Minimum 3-year experience managing and Engineering, CI, or other technical team in a manufacturing environment

Preferred

• Able to manage both vertically and horizontally


• Possess basic statistical knowledge and the ability to apply statistics to product and process improvement projects


• Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills and the ability to exercise influence without authority.


• Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma certifications
