Position Description:
AMETEK's Process Instruments Machinist opportunity offers a daylight position in a clean modern, air-conditioned machine shop with a flexible working schedule, competitive wages, and benefits.
Responsibilities for Machinist
Read drawings, review samples, or instructions to make intolerance parts
Monitor machines while operating to ensure all parts meet specifications
Follow all safety rules and regulations
Deburr and cleaning of finished parts
Loading and cutting of raw material and bar stock
Preform all paperwork and necessary documentation
Perform routine machine maintenance and minor repairs
Attention to detail to ensure quality
Requires the ability to work effectively in a team environment
Occasionally duties my vary from the above as deemed necessary by business conditions

Position Requirements:
Qualifications for Machinist
Minimum 5 years of demonstrated CNC machinist experience operating CNC mills, turning centers, and manual machines, or successful completion of a machinist apprentice program
Must be able to perform set-ups, write and edit programs for CNC equipment, choose correct tooling and speeds and feeds, work from blueprints to finished parts, and complete first piece inspection
Familiarity with Fanuc controls and G Code programming
Ability to use precision tools (e.g. calipers) to take accurate measurements
Able to work independently
Plan the sequence of necessary actions for the completion of a job
Good verbal and written communication skills
Knowledge of metal properties and other material
Outstanding mathematical skills and analytical abilities
Gibbs CAM experience is a plus.
Requires physical stamina and strength to lift heavy items up to 50 Pounds
