JOB SUMMARY:
The Indirect Procurement Manager is responsible for the development and implementation of strategic initiatives for a portfolio of indirect sourcing categories, which may include consulting services, marketing services, IT and telecommunication equipment, systems, and services, financial systems and services, human resource systems and services, office supplies, equipment, and MRO, and other indirect categories of goods and services.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Develop category strategies, identify cost saving opportunities, facilitate, and leading sourcing projects, supplier negotiation, and establish and maintain supplier relationships, and fine-tune a sourcing strategy for each category as appropriate.
2. Develops and applies sourcing best practices, policies and procedures and ensures consistency with the overall procurement strategy.
3. Oversees and drives end-to-end improvements to efficiency and effectiveness for the end-to-end source-to-pay process.
4. Establish long-term agreements where feasible to reduce transactional work and obtain optimal quality, service, price, and other terms.
5. Spearhead sourcing of a portfolio of indirect categories, develop a sourcing strategy for each category of spend. Identify and leverage company-wide spend opportunities. Identification /execution of cost saving opportunities.
6. Partner with all business leaders to drive procurement through a robust streamlined approval process flow and eliminate unmanaged spend.
7. Negotiate long term and blanket contracts for all products & services.
8. Highly involved with sourcing and procuring capital purchases.
9. Develop methodology and metrics tools to track cost savings effectiveness.
10. Acts as a liaison and consultant to the functional business areas and corporate on existing and potential indirect sourcing opportunities as well as inter-business unit process improvements.
11. Communicate and offer global strategy, oversight, and support.
