Job Requirements
Education
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) Degree required.
Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN) Degree preferred.
Experience
Requires 5 or more years of Emergency Department experience.
2 years of leadership experience required.
License/Certifications
Current valid Registered Nurse (RN) license, valid compact multistate license to work in Nebraska or Iowa (work state), or a temporary permit while awaiting licensure required.
Maintain current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
Maintain current American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within 6 months of hire required.
Satisfactory completion of annual mandatory education requirements required.

Provides input into the development and revision of policies and procedures.
Assures completion of appropriate report form for any risk (e.g., variance report, patient concern report, maintenance request).
Communicates with appropriate personnel regarding unresolved issues.
Conducts random interviews with patients and staff.
