Job Description:

Epsilon Systems Solutions, Inc. has a job opportunity for a full time Logistics Specialist in Norfolk, VA.

Summary: The Logistics Specialist will assist in the logistics, warehouse management, coordination, administration, and day-to-day operations for a warehouse specializing in US Navy damage control equipment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Serve as the point of contact for the issuing, receiving, distributing, inventory, and disposal of all DC equipment within said facility.
• Provide US Navy Ship support Monday through Friday, during core hours, and up to eight hours per day.
• Provide forklift services, shipping and receiving support.
• Ensure proper auditable documentation (i.e., DD-200s; DD-1149s, etc.) is generated, compiled, and maintained for inventory tracking purposes.
• Maintain electronic tracking of inventory.
• Assist ships force personnel for ships in or entering the Service Life Extension Program (SLEP) with inventory, storing, distributing and inspection of DC/FF material for future reissue.
• Ensure basic maintenance and cleanliness tasks of assigned areas of responsibility within the facility are performed; submit trouble calls for assigned areas, for repair of facility equipment and/or rental forklift and charging station upkeep.
• Conduct inventory spot-checks to ensure quality control.
• Maintain trackers for inventory as required.

Required Qualifications:

• Working knowledge of Navy Shipboard damage Control (DC) equipment and policies.
• Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
• Possess a Material Handling Equipment (MHE) license and be proficient in the operation and basic upkeep of a 4K electric pallet jack with vertical lifting capability.
• Customer Service oriented, basic knowledge of general building management, inventory control, for receiving and distributing parts.
• H.S. Degree or G.E.D. required at minimum.
• Must have an ACTIVE SECRET level security clearance
• Pursuant to the various government contractual requirements, all applicants must be U.S. Citizens

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to work in an office and warehouse environment.
• May be required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• May be required to lift boxes of 50 pounds or greater.
• May sit or stand for long periods of time.
• May kneel, reach, push, and pull boxes or equipment.
