CAD Technician - Entry Level

Location: Harlingen, Texas

Garver is seeking an entry level CAD Technicianto join our Harlingen, Texas Waterteam. This position will be responsible for performing a wide array of duties for design projects, such as: water distribution systems, including conveyance and network piping, pump stations andreservoirs, sewer collection systems, including interceptor, network and outfall piping andlift stations.

The CAD Technician will be led by Project Managers on a team consisting of multi-discipline design engineers focusedon the production of design phase deliverables including reports, technical memoranda, design manuals, plans and profiles, sections, details and specifications. The CAD Technician mustwork well in a team environment and have strong communication skills.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent


• Up to 2 years of drafting experience working in an engineering consulting firm


• Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Microstation and/or InRoads


• Strong written and verbalcommunication skills

Preferred Skills

• Water main and sewer maindesign


• Working knowledge of GIS software


• Strong working knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Outlook
