This Product Architect, Developer reports to the Product Leader, Interventions, to achieve product management goals around supporting and enhancing existing products and developing new technology, platform, and application-level solutions that target unmet market needs. This position will be responsible for streamlining existing product development activities across internal and external stakeholders, working with researchers to translate documented requirements into design specifications and test acceptance criteria, developing and testing code, maintaining product components including documentation through the lifecycle, and interfacing with third party developers and vendor partners.

The ideal candidate will possess the following abilities:


  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in the commercial healthcare or insurance industries, preferably with expert level experience in data management and integration, data governance, data analysis, predictive modeling, full stack product development, and technology management.

  • Proven experience to engage at an enterprise-level role involving data architecture, applications architecture, technology management, and/or agile product development in health plan and/or health provider environments.

  • Must be familiar with the product development lifecycle, tools, and technologies used in the healthcare industry

  • Must have proven collaboration skills working with team members in acquiring customer feedback on products and services

  • Experience in using standards like FHIR to implement systems integration into EMR systems like EPIC, Allscripts, and other clinical decision and management systems.

  • Advanced knowledge of technologies including Azure tools and technologies, Hadoop, Hive, Apache Spark, Python, C/C++, Java, SQL, Oracle, Postgres, MySQL, MS SQL Server, OLAP, ETL Design and Implementation

  • Expert knowledge of Azure analytics and BI software, SPSS, SAS, R statistical software, SciPy and other

  • Experience in SSH, Virtual Machine Management, FTP file servers, Apache Tomcat.

REQUIREMENTS:

A. Education: Masters or higher degree in computer science, or a closely related field required. A Master's degree in management is a nice to have.

B. Knowledge: The ideal candidate will have experience in healthcare product development, data management, data aggregation, data infrastructure management, data governance, creating supervised and unsupervised machine learning models and will have working knowledge/experience in developing predictive models for use in healthcare. The ideal candidate will also have hands-on technology development experience managing a team of technology and/or actuarial experts in various fields. Expert knowledge and experience in Agile and other project management practices and tools is desired. She/he will have a proven track record of leading geographically dispersed product development.

F. Machines, Tools, Equipment: Software development frameworks; development, reporting and visualization tools; code repositories; project management tools such Gantter, Jira, Confluence; Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Office, SharePoint, email, and general office and communication equipment.

Ability to effectively martial complex data and information from many sources to derive and communicate clear understanding and be successful in a complex environment.

Ability to collate, aggregate, and report on operational data.



Working Conditions:

Some domestic may be required. Must be able to operate effectively using web based and e-mail communications with supervisors and staff and external stakeholders.
