Responsibilities

Position Summary:

This is an exciting opportunity to join Dematic’s Global Products & Solutions (GPS) organization. As part of this global team of Product & Solution experts, you will help develop robust operational management capabilities needed for us to deliver exceptional Products & Solutions to our customers.

As an operations manager, reporting directly to the Director, Product Management, you will support the broader GPS team to work efficiently with teams around the world to ensure our organization delivers on commitments successfully.  You will have overall management responsibility for GPS operational business rhythm including: OKRs, coordinating relationships with all the regional teams for feedback, helping with STRAP and AOP management, and managing action items both across GPS functions and with regions.  This includes establishing or improving associated data collection and metrics.  As an extended team member of the GPS management team, you will support strategic and operational planning and work with cross-functional teams on shared objectives.



Qualifications

Key Responsibilities:


  • Working closely with GPS Staff and the SVP of Global Products & Solutions organization as a visible partner

  • Manage and coordinate processes for driving high levels of engagement with appropriate regions

  • Work with operationally focused teams within GPS to ensure global priorities are driven consistently

  • Establish or improve department processes and links into regional processes for GPS engagement

  • Collect data to support department KPIs on strategy, process, and organizational execution

  • Review, audit and summarize operational data and metrics and provide executive updates

  • Support internal management reporting to stakeholders and senior leadership team

  • Build strong partnerships to align activities, resolve conflicts, and achieve project and business goals

  • Facilitate team and stakeholder retrospectives to support continuous improvement

  • Work with cross-functional teams to provide analysis and recommendations for process & performance improvement.

  • Act as an advocate for the GPS organization in working with internal stakeholders

 

Education:
Bachelor's Degree

MBA or Business Degree is an asset

PMP and/or ScrumMaster certification is an asset

 

Qualifications:


  • 5+ years working in business operations role in a global technology company

  • Proven experience in managing business operations, particularly in a global environment

  • Strong project management skills, with proven ability to work on multiple complex projects at a time

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including meeting facilitation and executive presentations

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills with a high attention to detail

  • Proven success acting as a change agent to lead and support organizational changes

  • Exceptional ability to work with cross-functional teams to build partnerships and get things done

  • Ability to think strategically to execute both short and long term business planning

  • Experience using lean methodologies to support process improvement

  • Understanding and experience of supply chain industry and distribution operations is an asset

  • Ability to travel occasionally to Dematic sites in US and internationally

  • Fluency in other languages is an asset

  • A good sense of humor and an ability to have fun!
