We are looking to hire a Design Engineer 2 – Fitness Products at our headquarters in Olathe, KS. In this role, you will design and develop complex electronic circuits, equipment, systems, and products. You will also serve as a Project Engineer to lead the development of our future running, cycling, and wellness products to help our customers achieve their Fitness goals.
Other essential functions include:
Design and develop complex analog, digital or RF circuits for products including simulations, schematics, PCB layout and evaluation
Proficiently use troubleshooting and general EE tools (e.g. multimeters, oscilloscopes, network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, schematic design and PCB layout programs, etc).
May perform as a technical leader or Project Engineer for projects or sub projects as part of a greater project, following established procedures
Offer suggestions for process improvement and evaluate new options for similar technology
Test circuits designed by other engineers and document the test results
Perform complex schematic design, PCB layout, troubleshooting and debugging, using established design standards and procedures
Design test boards and circuit modifications to test design improvements
Find technical root cause and suggest corrective action for given problems using sound problem solving techniques
Source and analyze appropriate components to meet electrical engineering design needs
Work with the factory team to understand design impacts on manufacturability
Contribute to technical research on new technologies
Collaborate and add value through participation in design reviews, providing comments and suggestions on electrical engineering design aspects
Provide reliable solutions to a variety of problems using sound problem solving techniques
Estimate level of effort, evaluate new options of similar technology, offer suggestions to improve processes, and provide comments on some electrical design aspects
Serve as a mentor to less experienced design engineers (Design Engineer 1)
Use good communication skills

Qualified candidates will possess a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering, or related field AND a minimum of 1-year relevant experience, OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Other requirements include:
Demonstrated ability with application of design standards and procedures to develop moderately complex analog, digital and/or RF designs including simulations, schematics, PCB layouts and evaluation
Demonstrated ability with electrical engineering tools
Demonstrated knowledge of design impacts on manufacturability
