We are looking for a Global Agency Partner to represent The Washington Post to senior stakeholders withinmajor advertising agency holding companies and build partnerships to drive revenue growth for The Washington Post. You will work closely with our VP of Global Agency Partnerships, as well as the sales, marketing, and other internal teams to deliver the best possible outcomes and experience for our customers. You must have exceptional communication skills, a strong ability to identify actionable insights out of data and provide top-notch client service and partnership to the agency group.
In this role, you will:
Act as the primary representative of The Washington Post with the leaders/influencers of an assigned global advertising holding company, providing thought leadership, innovation, and strategic alignment to help drive positive business outcomes
Collaborate with VP of Global Agency Partnerships to build The Washington Post's annual strategic plan for your partner holding company, including analysis of constituent agencies revenue and quarterly reporting of progress against set KPIs
Be able to utilize senior-level influence to identify areas of strategic value to partners, and service these through Joint Business Plans, tracked through a quarterly review process
Identify areas of potential revenue growth for The Washington Post within partner agency's customer portfolio
Act as an advocate for multiple departments within the Washington Post (product, sales, marketing, live, etc.) aligning their unique capabilities to a range of partner needs
Collaborate with events team and partner agency to organize senior-level engagements and activations at key industry tentpole events (i.e CES, Cannes, AdWeek)
Support sales teams to uncover category and client-level opportunities globally and regionally at both the Agency and Brand level
Collaborate with a range of key internal stakeholders to keep abreast of The Washington Post's newest capabilities and products
Firmly establish The Washington Post as a leading brand building and business driving platform in the eyes of all Agency constituents
Develop and deliver education & inspiration focused meetings that drive action with multiple roles (programmatic, direct investment, strategic planning) at your partner Agencies
Understand your Agencies' businesses and develop appropriate solutions to meet their needs
Provide best-in-class client service and partnership across all facets of the operating company (both traditional and digital media teams)
Manage and fulfill trading agreements with the Holding Company trading teams where applicable
Drive agency revenue growth through a strategic focus on top accounts
Track revenue performance across the Agency portfolio and determine corrective measures where needed
For this role, you have:
10+ years of advertising agency-side or sales-side experience, preferably working across more than one medium
A deep book of senior contacts in the global and US advertising industry
A comprehensive understanding of, and passion for, news media
Strong communication skills (written and verbal), to ensure key internal and external stakeholders remain informed and engaged
A bias toward action, the ability to take initiative, and the flexibility to pivot approach in the face of fast-changing business conditions
Excellent written and oral presentation skills, as well as the ability to develop unique narratives in collaboration with internal marketing stakeholders
