This position will provide support to individuals and their families by coordinating and providing services utilizing the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis to include functional behavior analyses, behavior acquisition and reduction procedures, direct therapeutic treatment, social skills training, and adaptive life skills.
Nature and Scope
The incumbent in this position must be able to work interdependently within a team framework and demonstrate an effective range of behavioral health clinical treatment skills. The person must be able to use sound clinical judgment and demonstrate competency in group and individual therapy. The incumbent must be capable of efficient case load management including planning, setting priorities, and budgeting time to ensure smooth processes and completion of work in a timely manner. The incumbent assumes responsibility for documenting all significant patient contact in accordance with regulatory standards. When possible, the family or those significant to the patient care will be considered for inclusion within planning, intervention and evaluation efforts of the therapist. The therapist coordinates care between other professionals as needed, including discharge planning at termination of services. This person must be able to speak effectively to groups of patients or individuals, including facilitating educational workshops, staff training, or crisis support within the health system or in the community as requested or assigned.
This position is required to adhere to Renown Regional Scope of Practice for credentialing.
This position does provide patient care.
