Job Description:

Crescent Bank is looking for a talented professional to fill an open position as an Auto Credit Analyst aka Market Development Representative.  This position requires knowledge of credit analysis preferably in the indirect auto finance industry.  This position is responsible for developing, fostering and growing automotive dealer relationships within an assigned territory of dealers to achieve quality, pricing and volume objectives through inside sales activities. This position is also responsible for reviewing and decisioning non-prime auto credit applications received from indirect dealers in accordance with bank policies and procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Proactively works in tandem with bank’s Market Sales Executive and Funding teams to develop, grow and maintain profitable dealer partnerships.

  • In conjunction with external sales team, participates in the development and execution of the sales strategy for assigned territory.

  • Builds solid, productive and positive relationships with dealers with frequent conversations focusing on uncovering needs or dealer problems and advising on solutions our Crescent Bank’s program can provide.

  • Utilizes sales skills along with product and industry knowledge, to capture contracts required to meet volume and profitability goals.

  • Analyzes credit and application data to determine credit worthiness of loan applicants to render appropriate decision in accordance with credit policies, procedures and rules established by senior management and state/federal laws.

  • Maintains a high level of service in regard to underwriting, incoming and outbound calls as well as internal requests.

  • Achieve daily goal of outbound calls, texts and emails.

  • Utilizes Jericho CRM to provide complete and informative data in the following areas: sales calls, dealer performance, competitive intelligence and personal performance.

  • Processes all contract funding exceptions in a timely manner, including notifications to dealer.

  • Utilizes daily reporting to monitor credit performance and maximize efficiency levels of assigned dealer base.

  • Responds to common inquiries or complaints from customers.

  • Proactively shares “best practices”, experience and knowledge with members of the team in order to maximize group performance.

  • Remains knowledgeable on competitive programs within the auto finance industry, as well as consumer lending laws and regulations.

  • Keeps senior leadership team informed about opportunities and potential issues.

  • Assists other bank departments as necessary and performs other duties as assigned.

 

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university; minimum two years Credit and Sales experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Ability to effectively work in a team oriented environment to achieve shared sales goals.

  • Flexible schedule required to meet business needs including extended business hours, rotating shifts, weekends, overtime and holidays.

  • Ability to work under pressure in fast paced environment while providing service to our external dealer customers and internal bank staff.

  • Ability to positively motivate and lead others.

  • Ability to carry out written and oral instructions applicable to bank policies & procedures as well as Federal Bank Regulations.

  • Working knowledge of sales, credit and funding processes in consumer finance and/or indirect automotive lending.

  • Proficient in the use of personal computers and applications including Microsoft Office and Outlook

  • Strong communication, organizational and time management skills.

  • Occasional travel may be required to support sales function and/or training.
