Dir Life Enrichment at Chandler Hall Health Services Inc in Newtown, Pennsylvania

1.     Plans, organizes and implements life enrichment programs for residents based on individual assessments to determine interests and needs for plan of care.

2.     Manages the staff of the Activities department.

3.     Participates and facilitates programs.

4.     Coordinates and establishes relationships with volunteers that can assist with resident programs.

5.      Creates and maintains relationships with area community resources (YMCA, girl scouts, schools) for planned intergenerational, volunteer and community programs.

6.     Keeps residents well informed of leisure opportunities through organizational communications (flyers, newsletters, meetings etc.).

7.     Maintains attendance records for all programs and activities. Provides proper documentation needed.

8.     Prepares reports showing progress and resident involvement in activities utilized.

9.     Participates in Care conferences and other committees as needed.

10.  Organizes and heads the Community Events Committee. Responsible for the campus wide calendar of events.

11.  Remains knowledgeable and keeps abreast of changes in the activities field by researching the latest methods, techniques and skills needed to enhance resident programs. Oversees and maintains compliance with documentation in all areas.
