Job Summary
The Manager of Provider Communications is an experienced communications professional who works strategically to develop, promote and disclose communications to the provider network on behalf of IHG. In this role, the manager will serve as a consultative business partner for stakeholders across the enterprise to advise them with provider communications planning – including content development, proper messaging, proactive and reactive communications, timing, proper disclosure channels, thought leadership, etc. – to advance the goals of the Provider Experience initiative and the FHN division. Reporting to the Manager will be a team of professionals responsible for the development and execution of provider communications. This role is part of the Provider Experience team and reports to the Director of Provider Experience.
Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Serve as a consultative business partner across the enterprise to strategically plan and execute provider communications
Manage the development, execution and disclosure of communications that support the provider experience vision, strategy, and goals
Foster a team of professionals that optimizes how communications to providers are written, designed and distributed
Partner with Corporate Communications and other key departments to develop strategies to optimize provider communications
Manage the tracking, monitoring and trending of provider communications data and metrics from campaign management and other tools
Partner with stakeholders to develop action and mitigation plans with provider engagement level campaigns
Manage the provider communications calendar and pipeline in accordance to priorities and timelines
Manage vendor relationships and priorities including budget
Ensure team workflow processes and technology including organizational interfaces are fully optimized and efficient
Ensure a high performing team in accordance with performance metrics and goals for provider communications
Frequently review team performance with Provider Experience leadership to ensure goals and deliverables are being met
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Communications, English, Marketing, Advertising, Journalism, Web Development, Digital Marketing, or related field.
A minimum of five years of progressive responsibility in communications, public relations, media relations, issues management and digital communications. Experience working in health insurance, health system, or other health care environment is preferred.
Experience directly supervising or managing people is required.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Strong relationship and interrelationship skills, including the ability to work with internal stakeholders at all levels.
Knowledge and familiarity with web and social media tools as well the ability to work with graphic designers, videographers, social media and web professionals to produce content.
Ability to contribute to departmental tracking and reporting on the success of communications efforts.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to think strategically and tactically, handle multiple and changing priorities, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.
Excellent problem-solving skills.
Ability to effectively work in a group environment to reach goals.
