Summary/Objective: 
Rogers Corporation is currently seeking a talented individual to join our Quality department. The hired individual will play a key role in acting as a testing resource for the lab, supporting the current technicians and provide testing services used to facilitate production and certification of products to include: testing of Raw, WIP and Finished Goods. Additional support for qualification or Engineering trials may be required. The hired individual will also assist in maintaining documentation of test results, procedures and calibration of tools and/or equipment. 

Essential Functions: 


  1. Provides accurate and timely test results. 

  2. Assists production with in-process testing. 

  3. Maintains quality records and procedures. 

  4. Performs standard testing in a lab environment. 

  5. Certifies physical properties to customers and generates certificate of compliance. 

  6. Uses the Calibration Database to maintain records of calibration and repair. 

  7. Performs calibrations. 

  8. Maintains labs inventory of test consumables. 

  9. Performs testing for in-coming raw materials. 

  10. Review compliance of in-coming raw materials to material specifications.

Required Education and Experience: 


  • High School Diploma or Equivalency 

  • Excellent time management skills 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 

  • Experience and ability to work with cross-functional teams 

  • Computer skills (MS Office, internet searches, e-mail) 

  • Strong organizational skills as applied to hardcopy and electronic databases and files 

  • Minimum of 1 year hands-on experience in product testing 

  • Experience in a QA or Manufacturing with an ISO / QS 9000 Quality System 

  • Self-starter and able to work with minimal support 

  • Ability to recognize inconsistent or unexpected results or equipment function and proactively address procedures to resolve problem/inconsistency 

  • Demonstrate flexibility in dealing with shifting priorities 

  • Knowledge of basic statistics and data analysis 

Required Skills and Abilities: 

Preferred Education and Experience: 


  • Associates degree in Engineering/Science

  • 3+ years in a Manufacturing Lab testing environment 

  • Knowledge of Quality Systems tools including: SPC, FMEA, Process Flow Charting, and ISO/TS-16949 quality systems 

  • Experience using Leaning Manufacturing Tools (ex. 5S)
