The Human Resources Assistant is responsible for the administrative support of day-to-day human resource operations. The position works closely with the delegate Human Resources Team to support department work in the areas of retention, performance management, employee policy and procedure, records management, Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS), as well as regulatory and legal compliance. This position reports to the Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP).

The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to customer service, provide quality human resource practices, will balance a variety of demands and priorities and can deliver high quality service in a fast-paced, dynamic atmosphere.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Maintains all employee files including employment files, staff training files, and employee licensing files.
  • Enters data and ensures accuracy data in various HR systems including our HRIS (Paycom)
  • Ensures HR compliance for key items including but not limited to staff qualifications, criminal background checks, health records etc.
  • Design, run, and analyze reports
  • Answer employee and manage HR questions
  • Assist with HR projects as assigned including but not limited to complying pre-hire paperwork, benefits administration, payroll review, and assisting with new hire orientation.
  • Orders and maintains H office and meeting supplies.
  • Participates in assigned meetings, events and training as required.

Requirements:


  • A high school diploma, GED, or HSED required; an Associate's Degree or higher in Human Resources or related field preferred. Human Resource Administrator 2
  • Minimum of two (2) years of administrative support experience required, preferably in Human Resources.
  • HRIS experience is required; Paycom experience a plus.
  • PHR or SHRM-CP certification or higher preferred.
  • Physical exam and background checks are required for this position.
  • Travel required locally or long-distance up to 10% of the time for work-related meetings and functions.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:


  • Knowledge of federal and state employment and benefit laws is preferred.
  • Ability to analyze data and provide recommendations.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in successfully resolving or expediting customer/employee inquiries. Demonstrate ability to maintain accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Office or similar Google tools for word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation document use.
  • Effectively prioritizes projects to accomplish tasks in the time frame specified and at a high level of quality.
  • Ability to interact effectively with people from diverse backgrounds.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to problem-solve issues.
  • Must be honest, dependable and able to meet deadlines.
  • Must be organized and able to handle multiple tasks.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.
