Job Description:

KAR Global is looking for a technology-oriented analyst to join the Sales Operations and Enablement department. This position, Dealer Sales Operations Analyst, requires an individual with excellent organizational and inter-personal communication skills, along with a familiarity with current data-oriented technologies such as Tableau, Domo, and Salesforce.  The Dealer Sales Operations Analyst will work with numerous internal stakeholders including sales, marketing, and operations to produce mission critical reporting and analysis.

Responsibilities and Duties:


  • Contribute to reporting projects from inspiration to visualization and delivery, as both a project team member and/or an individual contributor. 

  • Work with internal stakeholders and Sales Operations team members in a professional manner to gather project requirements and feedback.

  • Source and prepare data for visualization and analysis.  Data sources include spreadsheets, relational databases, and Tableau data sources published by KAR Global Business Intelligence.

  • Manipulate and transform data in MS Excel and Tableau to deliver on project requirements.

  • Maintain an attitude of quality assurance.

  • Visualize data in a manner consistent with existing reporting standards.

  • Take direction from the Director of Sales Analytics and Reporting and other leaders.

Educational/Experience Requirements


  • Bachelor's Degree with a focus in Computer Science, Statistics, other technical field or equivalent practical experience preferred

  • Experience with MS Excel, Salesforce, and Tableau.

  • Working knowledge of SQL and Python a plus.

  • Proven experience as a proactive problem-solver with a desire to take ownership of issues until resolved. 

  • Excellent oral and written communication and strong customer service skills.

  • Excellent organizational, time management and prioritization skills with ability to comfortably juggle multiple demands to achieve tight deadlines.
