Valmont /ACT is seeking a hard working maintenance technician to join our team. As a maintenance Tech you will be using hand and power tools to perform repairs and upgrades to equipment, as well as planning and scheduling new projects around the facility. You would be speaking to vendors and ordering componets, trouble shooting and repair of shop equipment that may fail or need preventative maintenance. Cleaning and rebuilding painting equipment, working on oven burners and controls and assembling new equipment. Know how to weld would be a plus. Follows all safety rules and practices. We are willing to train the right motivated candidate. Valmont/ACT is a 100,000 square foot facility with liquid and powder painting processes.

Physical requirement: stand and move 90%, kneel and bend 25%, lift and carry -50lb.

Fluent in English language both written and spoken. Able to use a computer and excel. Have a good mechanical aptitude. Able to follow and retain work directions. Able to work alone or with others without issue. Able to work in adverse conditions: wet, hot, dusty, dirty, cold. Must wear steel toe boots at all times and other PPE when necessary. Able to pass a background and drug test.
