Lay the architectural foundation for IT applications working with corporate and team architects
Facilitate task prioritization
Manage work efforts in an agile development environment
Manage, direct and coach a team of at least 3 associates – performance reviews, succession planning & personal development
Support existing external and internal web applications
Implement new systems when and as required
Lead and design complex deployment and end to end testing plans
Maintain liaison relationship to product owners and other company leaders on both the IT and business side
Manage people, processes, budgets, performance, compliance activities, contracts, licensing, and associate development as required by the job
Stay current of industry best practices and incorporates these methods into Essendant processes

Strong project management skills
Strong IT background
Strong communication skills
Strong analytical skills
Proficient in day-to-day office software (Excel, Word, Outlook, Visio, etc.)
Web application development skills using Java, JavaScript, Angular, and other technologies
Ability to manage vendors and consultants
Education and Experience
Bachelors degree in Computer Science (or a related degree) required
Experience leading application development teams required
Strong experience with developing and supporting web applications
Minimum (5) five years of application development experience
Minimum (2) two years of staff management experience
Minimum (2) two years of agile (Scrum) experience
