Job Description:

Forward Air, Complete is seeking Pick Up and Delivery Specialists at its Groveport, OH facility. Due to continued expansion, Forward Air, Inc. is seeking self-motivated individuals to successfully oversee our cartage agent network.

Core Responsibilities and Duties

• Applicants should be able to ensure cartage standards are met, multitask, successfully coordinate between multiple departments, customers and service providers, communicate in a friendly, professional manner, possess at least entry level computer and typing skills, and have a positive attitude
• Relevant experience can include cartage, transportation, moving companies, customer service, logistics, line haul, intermodal, warehouse, ground operations, and dispatching air and ocean service
• If you do not have experience in these directly related fields, but are seriously considering a career move into the Logistic industry, then you may be considered if you can show proven, successful and consistent experience in another field
• Other Duties as assigned

• College coursework and/or cartage and or transportation experience preferred but not required
• Professional, authoritative, and positive communication
• Computer literate with at least entry level computer skills; systems used are Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Explorer, Email, and proprietary company programs
• Vendor performance oversight with an approach that balances vendor accountability and partnership
• Type 30+ WPM preferred
• Multitasking in fast-paced environment
• Multiple line phone system, calculator, and at least basic math skills
• Ability to successfully coordinate and collaborate between multiple departments, customers, and service providers
• Self- motivated with critical thinking and problem solving skills

• Ideal candidate will possess a "can do" attitude with a "will do" work ethic
• Must have the ability to work in a fast paced environment
• Experience with AS400 operating systems is a plus
• Transportation industry knowledge and experience is a plus
