About this role



What will you be responsible for?

Responsible for the development, implementation and maintenance of global leadership/management development offerings, focused primarily on the non-executive population.

Engages with HR Business Partners and Talent Management team to identify new opportunities for developing leadership talent.

Collaborates with regional Talent Management leaders to ensure programs are developed and adapted to meet local needs.

Contributes to broad Talent Management initiatives (e.g., Inclusion and Diversity, Talent Development, etc.)





Your role will consist of




Here is a snapshot of what your day to day will look like:


Develop, implement and maintain leadership/management development offerings

•We generate and implement leadership and management development programs.

•Manage elements of Newmont’s standard leadership curriculum, including content updates, scheduling and resourcing.

•Identification, integration and implementation of technology to support the learning process.

•We implement teaming and mentor programs crafted to improve organizational efficiency.

•Support regions in the implementation and ongoing management of core learning and development initiatives.

•We assess quality and efficiency of vendors to ensure maximum value for Newmont.

•Periodically review global Newmont leadership/management development curriculum for improvement.

Identify new opportunities for developing leaders

•We conduct needs analyses to uncover learning opportunities or strengthen existing offerings.

•Develop “fit-for-purpose” interventions to address specific, urgent needs.

•We ensure global consistency in program content and execution.

•Research standard methodologies in leadership development and identify candidates for adoption at Newmont.

•We keep current with advancements in the field of leadership and organization development.

•Globalize an effective Learning Management System

Build and Maintain Effective Relationships/Partnerships:

•We advise with executives, managers and supervisors to progress leadership development interventions.

•Build and maintain strong internal relationships with the business and global counterparts.

•We build trust and credibility and manage relationships with internal networks and external contacts (e.g. suppliers, community, industry) to achieve business results.

•Promote an open and collaborative environment by encouraging the sharing of information and resources across boundaries.

•We partner with HR Business Partners and Talent Management team members to answer broad organizational questions.

Contribute to broad Talent Management initiatives.

•Collaborate as needed for Inclusion and Diversity, employee survey process, talent management initiatives including leadership planning and performance management

•Contribute to Talent Management strategy and standard methodologies

Your training, skills, and experience checklist



Here is what we would need to see from you!


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Organization Development, Human Resources, or a related field required. Master’s degree preferred.

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in human performance and/or learning fields with strong focus on program design, management, and deployment.

  • Learning strategy, instructional design, and curriculum development expertise with experience across varying workforce levels (trade, technical professional, management, and executive levels).

  • Validated facilitation, training delivery, and change leadership skills. Experience with 360-degree feedback, team facilitation, and use of psychometrics for development. Experience facilitating leadership development courses.

  • Experienced in organizational development/proficiency model and job profile development.

  • Capability in data analysis for decision-making.

  • Extensive program and/or project management skills and experience; global implementation experience preferred.

  • Ability to quickly build positive relationships and influence others. Demonstrable skills in anticipating and responding to partner needs. Customer-focused

  • Effective oral and written communication skills.

  • Ability to work within a multinational corporation with people from various cultures and areas of the business.

  • Strong decision making orientation; interface effectively with site leadership and carry a strong point of view to a positive decision.

  • Previous experience leading a team of direct and/or indirect reports.

  • Extractive demonstrable experience not required but preferred

  • Excellent team member; works collaboratively with a personal accountability and partnership demeanor




Working conditions and location



Where you will be located!


  • The position is located at the Corporate office at Greenwood Village.

  • Position will require travel to domestic and international sites. Travel estimated to be up to 25%.



The salary range offered for this role is $$110,960 to $145,635. The salary range is tied to the Colorado market for jobs performed in Colorado. The salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, and/or experience.  The salary offer will not be based on a candidate’s salary history at other jobs, and by law, Newmont will not seek information about salary history, and candidates should not share such information with Newmont.   

This role will be eligible for participation in a discretionary annual bonus program, pursuant to which an employee may be awarded a percentage of their salary based on the company’s performance and their own individual performance.
