FBR is seeking a Business Resiliency Vice President to lead our expanding book of work related to Firmwide resiliency reporting and data analytics. The ideal candidate should be execution oriented, organized, and be able to demonstrate critical thinking skills (e.g. analytical and creative problem solving). The candidate will oversee a combination of report production and new metric/report/ dashboard development. The candidate will work alongside other members of FBR, the technology team as well as with LOB and resiliency stakeholders to coordinate the development of reporting and visualization solutions that can be leveraged across the firm, so effective communication skills will be crucial.
Key Responsibilities:
Establish and manage the roadmap for delivering a suite of scalable automated solutions that include reporting, analytics and visualization capabilities
Own the full lifecycle of new report/metric/dashboard development, including: oversight for requirements and story development, communication with key stakeholders, testing, implementation, and overall timeline and resources management
Effectively collaborate with technology and LOB partners to incorporate feedback for continuous improvement and build best in class reporting, analytics and visualization solutions
Manage prioritization pipeline of value-add features
Partner with Controls organization to develop and implement Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) to provide business disruption risk posture
Grow subject matter expertise in Firmwide Resiliency processes and practices
Qualifications:
7+ years of experience in managing the implementation of complex enterprise-wide initiatives, risk and controls, and resiliency
Demonstrated experience establishing and meeting goals, tracking and driving enhancement opportunities, and developing and presenting progress
Enthusiastic, self-motivated, effective under pressure, and willing to take personal responsibility/accountability
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent interpersonal skills and strong ability to build relationships, which includes fostering a collaborative, positive work environment with stakeholders and peers
Strong skills in communication, presentation and ability to moderate large meetings
Ability to navigate a matrix organization
Leadership and influencing skills coupled with ability to be a team player.
Advanced MS Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio)
Knowledge of CORE (Control and Operational Risk Evaluation) system and CORE data relationships preferred.
Experience with Business Intelligence and visualization tools such as Alteryx, Tableau and QlikView is a plus
Experience with Resiliency / Crisis Management / Risk Management a plus
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Management Information Systems, or related field
