Founded in 1987, NyproMold is a world leader in the design and manufacturing of high-precision injection molds.

NyproMold is seeking a Logistics Specialist.  In this role you would be responsible for the overall handling and control functions involved in the receiving, storage, issuance, and shipping of product.  The material handling function encompasses the receiving, identification, counting/weighing, marking, storage, issuance, data entry, and shipping/delivery of product to a designated stockroom/warehouse, Program Manager or customer.

Assists Purchasing Manager in placing purchase orders, data entry and maintenance of ERP database.  Responsible for expediting orders as needed.

Performs all duties in a cost-effective, timely, accurate, and safe manner.

Receiving

o    Receive materials from trucks and assist with unloading.

o    Verify against purchase orders or packing slips and resolve differences.

o    Inspect material/delivery for damages and quantity before signing authorization of receipt; reject damage materials; work with shipper to rectify damages and shortages.

o    Transact all received packages through the ERP inventory system.

o    File receipts.

o    Be licensed to operate all power lift equipment needed to unload incoming freight and operate lift equipment as required.

o    Transport material to assigned locations, and store material in inventory as needed.

o    Interact with Planning or Purchasing to resolve any delivery problem.

o    Must keep a safe and neat area to receive packages and freight.

Shipping

o    Must have a working knowledge of the freight industry and freight rating system.

o    Provide freight or small package shipping services as requested by departments.

o    Verify Shipments against Sales Orders, and bills of lading.

o    Inspect material for damages and quantity before packing.

o    Package materials in damage-proof packaging for shipment.

o    Be licensed to operate all power lift equipment needed to load outgoing freight and operate lift equipment as required to load shipments.

o    Transact all shipments through the ERP inventory system.

o    File Packing Slips.

o    Interact with Planning or Production to resolve any delivery problem.

o    Responsible to communicate delivery schedule changes and impact to customers.

o    Must keep a safe, neat and well stocked area to prepare packages and freight.

Purchasing Assistant

o    Ability to understand and apply business terms and conditions within the purchasing and payment process.

o    Process commodity purchase orders; keying, printing, and placing with appropriate vendors, revising and filing.

o    Provide pricing and availability information to manufacturing/engineering.

o    Provide professional customer service by screening calls for appropriateness and handling routine questions, concerns, and issues from both vendors and customers.

o    Provide competitive quote research.

o    Match paperwork.

o    Negotiate prices with various suppliers and work from established list of prices.

o    Place orders as needed.

o    Receive purchase orders in the computer.

o    Proof acknowledgments for all orders placed.

o    Call vendors to verify orders / delivery dates.

o    Research product availability.

o    Schedule and monitor subcontracting vendors to expedite components being serviced or manufactured outside of NyproMold.

o    Coordinate heat treating and place purchase orders as required on a daily basis.

General

o    Willing to accept different task and prioritize

o    Reports customer complaints and product non-conformance's to Supervisor for disposition

o    Adheres to all NyproMold work procedures and quality policies.

o    Observes all health and safety requirements and maintains work area in a neat and orderly condition.

o    Performs reasonably related duties as assigned.

·         High school diploma required, along with 2-4 years of experience.

·         General knowledge of plastic injection mold manufacturing and mold components.

·         Ability to read, write and interprets documents such as safety rules, comprehend operating instructions, and procedure manuals.

·         Must have excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

·         Must have excellent organizational and time management skills.

·         Ability to effectively prioritize duties, strong attention to details, follow up, and be self-directing.

·         Ability to effectively coordinate multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

·         Working knowledge of computers and MS Office software.

·         Ability to get along with coworkers, (interpersonal skills) and work in a team environment.

·         Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds.

·         Be licensed to operate all power lift equipment needed to safely accomplish tasks.

·         Math Skills, ability to calculate figures, amounts, discounts, percentages as required.
