Radiology Special Procedures Scheduler at Augusta Health in Fishersville, Virginia

Job Description:

Provides clerical and operational support to the Radiology Special Procedures Supervisor and staff, in the Radiology Special Procedures Department. Supports the activities of the Professional, Clerical, and support personnel to ensure the accuracy, adequacy, and responsiveness of the variety of services provided for patient, department, and hospital staff. Coordinates verification of insurance coverage and written authorization. Reports daily to the Supervisor of Radiology Special Procedures. (All outpatients will continue to be registered at the Radiology Front Desk).

Requirements:

Experience

1 year general office experience with health care office experience required.

Experience Desired

Competence to deal with patients of varying ages and stages of development is required.

Education Requirements

Knowledge of medical terminology required.

High school or GED required.

Education Desired

Knowledge of radiology procedures being done in Special Procedures is preferred.

Skill Requirements

Must be able to access computer for input and other duties associated to processing written work.

Skills in typing, accuracy and organization required.
