Job Description:

Position: Logistics Coordinator

Location: Troy, MI

Receives, verifies, and processes incoming shipments. Packs and prepares products for shipping from the plant. Coordinates with shipping companies to ensure timely pickups and deliveries while adhering to all safety and compliance regulations. Maintains organization of the warehouse where raw materials and finished goods are stored.
Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts to receive, ship, load, unload, move and store products and materials in a safe manner that assures material will be safe from damage and accurately accounted for.


• Utilize SAP ERP System to pick, pack and ship Customer and Intercompany Orders.


• Operate forklifts with safety first principles. Adhere to other safety regulations on-site.


• Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments or material or equipment needs.


• Maintains the organization of raw/finished goods in the warehouse. Assists in cycle counting.


• Performs other duties as assigned that would lead to successful operation of department, team and/or mission.

Your Profile

• Preference will be given to candidates who have experience operating a forklift, available to work overtime hours during the busier times of the year and able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time


• Knowledge equivalent to high school, industrial or trade training. Must be able to read and understand instructions in English.


• 3-5 years of Shipping/Warehouse Associate experience involving picking, packing and put away and shipping of materials.


• Must have general computer skills (Windows, Internet, Office) with preferences given to those candidates with previous experience working in SAP.


• Must be able to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.


• Must have a High School Diploma.


• Must be able to conform to ISO and other internal/external regulations.


• Must have a high attention to detail.
