If you are a Human Resources professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you! Based in our Sidney, OH location, you will be responsible for supporting the Human Resources function in Sidney Operations. This will include employee relations, labor relations, data entry, data analysis, safety, attendance and FMLA, workers compensation and HR project work.
AS A HUMAN RESOURCES GENERALIST, YOU WILL:
Provide positive customer service and employee relations in order to facilitate daily interaction, including face to face, with internal and external customers
Be a team player with ability to identify and develop process improvements and deliver results
Objectively coach employees and management through complex, difficult and emotional issues
Maintain confidentiality and sensitivity to all HR related matters and information
Utilize Oracle and HCM for HR data entry
Possess the ability to research and analyze various types of data information for accurate report generatio
Support salary and hourly recruiting, community events, labor relations, safety and workers compensation, attendance, medical leave and FMLA, data entry, training and employee relations issues as needed
Utilize applicant tracking system, social media, candidate sourcing tools and other hardware and software applications used in the HR function
Maintain personnel files in accordance with company guidelines
WHO YOU ARE:

You follow up on your commitments and responsibilties to others. You help others manage disagreements over policy and procedure and are able to remain neutral in your opinions. You schedule work, training, meetings, etc. for yourself and others being able to take into account the needs of others.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
Minimum Bachelor's degree in related major plus at least 1 year of recent related HR experience (co-op or intern experience may be considered)
Required knowledge of applicable state and federal employment and labor laws and governmental compliance requirements
Must possess excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills, including ability to effectively communicate with senior leadership and customers
Must have the ability to flex work schedule to support 3-shift operation
Must be detail oriented with project and time management skills to meet set deadlines with expectation of ongoing disruptions to provide employee/management customer service
Must have excellent computer skills, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Internet applications
Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
Legal authorization to work in the United States - Sponsorship will not be provided for this role
PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
Business degree with HR major preferred
Prefer prior experience with applicant tracking system and sourcing candidates through social media applications
Open to relocation in the future for career advancement at Emerson

About our Location
The newly renovated Sidney campus has 1M square feet of manufacturing floor with an additional 120k square feet of leading-edge lab facilities. Through our 30 years of scroll compressor expertise, our air conditioning related products help bring comfort and convenience in commercial, industrial and residential spaces. The cold chain business helps ensure that food safely and efficiently travels from farm to fork. Approximately 1600 employees work in Sidney, who all support a multitude of business functions.
