Position Overview

The InEight Compliance Product Owner serves as the key link between our business and the internal and external IT professionals that develop and support our products. With that in mind, the Product Owner is responsible for managing the product backlog to maximize product value. The Product Owner is also responsible for user acceptance testing and ensuring we have the right strategy for the product within the Kiewit landscape. They are also responsible for communicating the needs and requests of Kiewit to InEight and guiding the development of the product, InEight Compliance.

District Overview

Kiewit Technology Group's (KTG) mission is to deliver project schedule and cost certainty by employing technology designed by and for the construction industry. Our team deploys apps to the field that increase profitability by maximizing the way we use our people and resources in daily operations. KTG uses the Kiewit Management System (KMS), which includes systems and tools that manage every part of Kiewit's business and lifecycle of a project, to improve planning and day-to-day execution in the field by giving our people real-time data to make faster, smarter decisions. Location

This position is based out of our Kiewit Business Center at 12720 I Street. This is a shared service center in a professional office setting.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain knowledge and awareness of all third-party product functionality supported by the respective product area

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for third-party software product owners or functional super users

  • Maintain awareness of how the business utilizes InEight Document and associated Software products (Power BI, SSRS, etc.) and the underlying business problems associated with it

  • Track and communicate status of defects found during testing cycles as well as production issues

  • Create and maintain various system security and process reference materials for internal and external audit

  • Provide knowledge transfer and training to the Customer Success and KTG Support Group

  • Display first-rate customer service abilities and always be willing to help with a positive attitude

  • In conjunction with the Product Manager, facilitate change management and partner to gain buy-in of processes from stakeholders and users to create better cohesion and clear communication throughout the organization

  • Work with the Product Manager, Customer Success Group, Stakeholders, and Business Analysts to translate product ideas into requirements and prioritize features and user stories

  • Manage ideation process and idea collection portal for multiple products or an entire product category

  • Work with the Product Manager to define product roadmaps

  • Work with the Product Manager to define the vision, direction, and opportunities for product growth and enhancements

  • Perform and/or coordinate acceptance testing of delivered solutions to ensure quality of data and functionality

  • Set and manage deliverable and timeline expectations with internal and external stakeholders

  • Work with the Product Manager to develop a long-term strategy for InEight Compliance, inclusive of cost, technology, and the full lifecycle roadmap

  • Define and measure product or enhancement value (ROI, number of users, touches, etc.) to make wise product decisions on behalf of Kiewit

  • Conduct monthly stakeholder calls with district and project representatives to keep them up to date on the latest developments of the product

  • Work cross-functionally with other KTG teams including architecture, project delivery, development, support, and other product areas to ensure collaboration and alignment

  • Stay up to date on Product Owner best practices through training and Community of Practice involvement

    Qualifications



  • 2+ years' of agile product management experience or relevant product owner experience with vended products

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Management, Information Technology, Education or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Strong communication, analytical and organizational skills

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with all levels of management

  • Excellent organization and time-management skills

  • Ability to recognize, assess, and mitigate risks to the committed deliverables and timelines

  • Ability to synthesize and articulate complex concepts targeted at multiple audiences

  • Able to work and excel in a multi-tasked team environment

  • Ability to travel at least 20% of the time

  • Knowledge of InEight Compliance preferred

  • Knowledge of InEight Suite preferred

  • Knowledge of Power BI, SSRS, SQL preferred

  • Experience working with geographically dispersed teams preferred

  • Experience with MS Visual Studio Team Services (VSTS), ServiceNow, and portfolio and project management (PPM) tools preferred
