Chubb is seeking Program and Project Management Technology Leads who will be responsible for facilitating multiple projects teams within an agile framework and communicating with various stakeholders at all levels. The lead will be accountable for planning, directing and coordinating medium to large scale, moderately complex projects; ensuring that the goals and objectives are accomplished with high quality, within established time frames and budget and meet customer and/or business needs. Leads will serve as the primary interface to business and technology regarding functionality and processes and is responsible for coordination between the business and technology organization.
Leads will be responsible for managing cross-functional projects in adherence with Chubb’s program delivery framework. Program and project management leads will also be responsible for identifying, recommending and implementing best practice solutions that optimize program delivery with the goal of delivering expected business value.
This role reports into the SVP Global IT Program Management Office.
Job Responsibilities
Own Agile delivery across multiple projects and scrum teams, working with Scrum Masters and
Business Sponsors and Technical Leads to
Determine the project approach, staffing, responsibilities and schedule
Set project objectives
Plan and direct schedules and budgets
Manage relationships and coordinate work between different teams at different locations
Facilitate cost/benefit analysis; assume responsibility for benefits realization tracking as well as meeting milestone and budget targets
Manage scope and scope change requests
Track projects against milestones
Handle escalations from the team and business partners
Develop a deep knowledge of our businesses’ needs and priorities to help manage the collaboration across business stakeholders and IT groups
Serve as communication liaison between the team and stakeholders, including communicating program-level progress externally to senior stakeholders
Demonstrate strong communication skills and active involvement in technical matters to ensure all appropriate parties are engaged in business decisions and technical solutions
Collect and report program metrics on a regular basis; support and facilitate Chubb governance processes
Qualifications
10-15 years’ experience as a program manager or release train engineer
Proven success mentoring, communicating and coaching team members
Experienced in Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, XP, etc.), planning estimation and metrics, as well as agile tools for Project Management (JIRA, Confluence, etc)
Experience in leading or working in teams that are mixed in location, including globally across cultures and time zones preferred
Basic knowledge of software development processes and procedures to understand team needs
Bachelors degree or equivalent experience Information Technology or Business preferred
Exceptional problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with thorough attention to detail.
Technical leadership and management ability and drive-for-results
Track record of high achievement in a team-based and results-oriented culture
Ability to travel between company locations as needed
