Job Description:
The role of the Sterile Processing Tech is to perform technical duties necessary for the decontamination, processing, sterilization and distribution of supplies and equipment for the entire hospital according to established hospital protocol, policies, procedures and central sterile standards for all patient populations served.
Required:
One of: CIS or CRCST or CSPDT - Must obtain Certified Instrument Specialist (CIS), Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST), or Certified Sterile Processing Distribution Technician (CSPDT) credential within two years of hire.
Desired:
One year Sterile Processing/Central Service or One year as an OR tech
High School Diploma or GED
Screening Requirements: Drug Screen, Background Check, License and Employment reference verification.
