The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
As a Vision Systems Technologist/Engineer, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

• Providing support of the BART systems (web vision inspection systems) and downstream web slitting applications




• Working with internal/external resources to develop new product recipes for the vision systems




• Providing daily support to lines with the BART vision system - trouble shooting, reviewing visual maps of the product defects, monitoring live system (in person or externally) and downloading patches and fixing issues as the need arises 




• Working with business partners to implement systems to continuously monitor process performance




• Successfully interacting with multiple discipline teams (maintenance, engineering, and production)

Your Skills and Expertise 
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline from an accredited institution




• Three (3) years in a manufacturing setting (IT, technical roles, or other tech or engineering positions) in a private, public, government or military environment




• Vision Systems experience




• Strong verbal and written communication skills




• Self-starter with the ability to work on a wide range of technical challenges

Travel: May include up to 10% domestic/international

Relocation Assistance: May be authorized

Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).
