POSITION SUMMARY: Assists the Director of Neuroscience Service Line in the operational activities that promote an effective and efficient operation of the Neuroscience Service Line including the Sleep Diagnostics Laboratory and 24/7 inpatient/outpatient neurodiagnostics testing and 24/7  inpatient Neurology services. Position requires oversite of clinical competency of staff as well as ensuring adherence to sleep lab accreditation standards. Requires collaboration with the neuroscience service line director and Medical Directors to plan operational and capital budget needs, staffing needs, and quality assurance of all sleep lab related and neurodiagnostic testing.   

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:  Demonstrates critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, and leadership in planning, directing, and provision of neurology services to patients.  Provides leadership and clinical resource to staff and serves as representative for the Neuroscience Service Line. Provides technologist with work schedule as well as coverage if clinical area has a staffing a deficiency, performs competency based orientation and assist in annual assessment of competencies and record keeping of competencies. Collaborates with staff of the Neurodiagnostic area in coordinating coverage of EEG testing schedule and ensuring ongoing call coverage for that area as well as inpatient neurology.

Experience: 

One to three years of related experience.
