This role is responsible for supporting the casualty products within the Major Accounts Global Casualty Domestic (GCD) group. The position can be at a Senior Actuarial Analyst or Assistant Actuary level depending on the chosen candidate's experience.

 

 

KEY OBJECTIVE:

General responsibilities include profit study reviews; reserve review and planning support; monthly/quarterly reporting; model building/maintenance and pricing factor support; and other ad hoc business unit needs.  Potential work for this position includes:

 


  • Supporting profit study analyses for the GCD book

  • Price monitoring and other monthly/quarterly reporting support

  • Project work in support of the annual reserve review and planning processes

  • Monitor current and prior accident year actual vs. expected experience

  • Supporting maintenance/enhancements to current rating models and other tools, including pricing factor updates

  • Communicate and collaborate with the home office business unit managers

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:


  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • At least 3 years of experience in actuarial disciplines

  • Credit for 5 or more CAS exams

  • Knowledge of and experience with pricing concepts

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills

  • Ability to complete projects and find solutions to new problems from scratch

  • Ability to explain and document analysis – written and verbal

  • Ability to work with the business unit, explaining decisions and providing timely responses to their requests for analysis

  • Ability to work independently

  • Working knowledge of SQL is a plus.
