Position Description
The Patient Care Tech assists the professional nurse in performing direct and indirect nursing activities for adult and geriatric populations; provides for the general comfort, safety and well-being of the patients and supports the general functions of the nursing units; helps individuals with disability and/or chronic illness return to their highest possible level of physical & psychological functioning - promotes independence.Position Requirements
REQUIRED: 1. High school diploma or GED equivalent and Completion of nursing assistant course (or comparable certification); OR 2. Currently enrolled in an approved RN, LPN or EMT program and completion of nursing fundamentals course or equivalent; OR 3. Completion of nursing fundamentals course with documentation of completion from school; OR 4. GPN or EMT with one year experience with relevant training and experience to be able to perform responsibilities of this job description 5. Current Georgia Certification 6. Effective verbal communication skills
