Job Description:

Manage and process internal tickets (with limited supervision). Process equipment returning to secured inventory stockroom. Execute physical movements of inventory. Maintain meticulous 5S and housekeeping practices. Participate in the root cause analysis method to investigate any customer-impacting events. Participate in regularly schedule inventory-related meetings. Assist in training of new and existing controllers. Learn and demonstrate understanding of all safety policies, procedures and requirements, including acquisition of any required certifications. Address inquiries from other internal/external departments. Stock materials following industry handling standards. Process hard drives containing data through the drive wiping and destruction processes. Process requisitions. Participate in count and assist in reconciliation for the cycle counting process. Process reinstatements. Process all return materials, including sub-assembly build. Pull and assign items to fulfill customer contracts and upgrades. Replenish inventory using kanban and min/max methodology. Process materials for disposals. Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments and properly communicate with freight companies. Process international shipments adhering to industry standards. Process inbound receipts required for custom products. Package all shipments in alignment with documented company standards. Complete all shipping and receiving documentation. Process inter-organization transfers. Demonstrate no less than full performance in a continuous, consistent, measurable manner. Demonstrate high levels of passion and enthusiasm when providing Fanatical Support to all customers and coworkers. Communicate in an honest, transparent manner focused on building trust amongst customers and coworkers. SUCCESS IN THE ROLE REQUIRES THE FOLLOWING PERSONAL QUALITIES:All customer interactions, both internal and external, are conducted in a manner that is consistent with fanatical supportAll inventory activities are performed in a timely and accurate mannerAll activities that create a negative customer impact or near miss are investigated utilizing the root cause analysismethodProcess and policy training and sign-offs are completedAll work areas are routinely cleaned and organizedKey team goals are achieved regularlyAdheres to operational and safety processes and policiesMAIN CONTACTS (external/internal):Data Center Inventory Team Lead (daily: direct manager)Internal Rackspace Contacts (daily: communication regarding the status of inventory, objectives and tasks)



Education and Expierence:


  • High School diploma or equivalent required; University or College degree preferred

  • Minimum 1 year of experience or ability to show familiarity with inventory industry standards

  • Minimum 6 months of experience in a electronics/computer-oriented position preferred


Knowledge

  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule. Must be able to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. Must have basic oral and written communication skills, as well as professional phone etiquette. Familiarity with productivity software including, but not limited to, Microsoft Office and email client software, including the creation of rules and folder organization. Familiarity with electronic and computer components is a plus. Must be able to type with proficiency and accuracy. Must have reliable transportation and be willing to travel occasionally (2-4 wks. /yr.). Must have basic knowledge of integrated inventory control system. Must have basic knowledge of the cycle counting process. Must have basic shipping and receiving experience.

Physical Demands


  • Must be able to lift 60 lbs. overhead.

  • Drive a forklift (walk behind forklift)

  • Electrical Pallet

  • Pallets can weigh up to 2k pounds
