The Senior Engineer II is responsible for performing mastery level design and analysis work as directed to support various field and fabrication offices. The Senior Engineer II will be part of a project team from inception through construction completion.

Works on major project or several projects of moderate scope with complex features.
Reviews complete project documents for conformity and quality assurance.
Develops new techniques and/or improved processes, materials, or products.
Assists upper level management or staff as a technical specialist or advisor.
Coordinates work with all staff necessary to complete assignments.
Reviews and approves scopes, budgets, and schedules for assignments.
Prepares proposals to provide professional services or obtain funding for engineering projects or programs.
Receives supervision and guidance related to overall objectives, critical issues, new concepts, and policy matters.
Receives direction on unusual conditions and developments.
Possesses advanced oral and written communication skills.
Represents the organization in communications and conferences pertaining to broad aspects of engineering assignments.
Performs other related duties, as directed.
Qualifications
BS in Engineering required; MS degree preferred. Professional Engineer (PE) preferred
Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification is desirable
8+ years related engineering experience
Strong skill set in understanding PFD’s and P&ID’s; 3D and 2D routing and modeling; development of isometric drawings and selection for valves is required
Knowledge of API standards, recommended practices and design experience in API-620, API-650, API-653, and ASME Section VIII is strongly preferred
Knowledge of basic process design and stress analyses including mechanical designs of supports, guides, anchors, hangers strongly preferred
Ability to understand client specifications, procurement, commissioning and start-up standards, documentation, practices, vendor data approvals, etc., strongly preferred
Experience using standard computer programs for design such as CAESAR, STAAD, MathCAD, AutoCAD, COMPRESS, etc., is preferred
Familiarity with project management software such as MS Project or Primavera is desirable
Cooperates with other team members; interacts with individuals at all organizational levels in professional manner
Demonstrates strong organizational skills and ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously under time sensitive deadlines
Exhibits excellent listening, oral and written skills; ability to prepare and make project related presentations to clients is desirable.
