Dematic, a KION operating unit, has an immediate need for a Solution Leader specializing in order fulfillment systems. This role will guide the order fulfillment systems under his/her responsibility as a mini-CEO within Dematic. The solution leader understands the market needs of the customers, drives competitive system design into larger solutions, manages program budgets, and enables internal Dematic customers to be successful.

Job Responsibilities:

• Coordinates market research regarding competitor activity and customer needs


• Establishes market-based pricing strategies


• Defines system design and strategies; breaks into development projects


• Supports integration of products and technology into larger solutions


• Plans and manages finances for programs defined to achieve new business plans


• Coordinates with product management teams to ensure success of development projects


• Supports sales initiatives to achieve order intake targets


• Contributes to structured product marketing plans from broad concepts and business strategies


• Coordinates training programs targeting sales, concepting and execution

Key Working Relationships:

• Manage the responsibilities outlined in this document and report to a director of product management, focused on order fulfillment systems


• Key contributor to the order fulfillment team consisting of 7-10 individuals


• Provides direction to non-direct reports in other areas of the company such as sales, solution development, marketing, corporate development, and engineering

Knowledge/Experience:

• Demonstrates broad knowledge of material handling technologies and trends

• Demonstrates technical design and concepting skills with an ability to break complex systems down into building blocks


• Knowledge of complex systems and the interconnectivity between mechanics, machine control logic and WCS execution software


• Knowledge of order fulfillment systems within the material handling industry


• Team player as demonstrated by customer and professional references


• Exceptional interpersonal, presentation, influencing and written/verbal communication skills
