Internal Audit Internship at MetaBank in Sioux Falls, South Dakota

Job Summary:

Working under immediate supervision, this position will learn all aspects of the internal audit department. Will perform a variety of tasks to support the internal audit department which may include involvement in operational, financial, and compliance audits and assignments to add value and improve an organization’s operations.

Essential Job Functions:

•  Will assist in performing audit testing as assigned.


•  Provide clear, concise, and appropriate documentation of work performed, issues, and observations using oral and written forms of communication.


•  May provide data for compilation of reports for Meta Audit.


•  Assist with research and consulting on audit services in a wide range of bank product and service lines.


•  Regularly interact and network with the team and with leadership.


•  Work on challenging projects that will build core skills.


• Deliver a presentation to senior managers at the conclusion of the internship.


• Other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications:

• Interns must be Junior or greater with a GPA of 3.5 or above.


• Pursing a Bachelor’s degree in a Finance, Accounting, Audit, or Business related field.


• Record of achievement (academic or otherwise)


• Knowledge of bank regulatory compliance, policies, and procedures a plus


• Effective written and communication skills


• Experience in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) preferred
