We have an Electrical Designer opportunity in our Indianapolis, IN office! Looking for a talented and motivated individual who has experience with electrical system and building design. This position will assist with originating and developing design ideas for assigned projects in the Healthcare, Higher Education, and Discovery Markets.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Design standards, visualization, local codes and guidelines are met for quality documents
Prepares engineering analysis of projects, to include: preliminary design, budget analysis, calculations, life cycle costs, and equipment selection.
Reviews the development of designs for compliance with applicable codes, adopted engineering standards, and good engineering practices.
Performs field inspections as part of the construction quality assurance process.
Multi-discipline coordination
Presents design ideas based on factors such as aesthetics, design-function relationships, serviceability, and client specifications.
Prepares working drawings from sketches, design specifications, and conversations with other staff members.
Project delivery support:
Prepares drawings, layouts, and other visual aids.
Prepares technical construction specifications.
May develop and present design details to clients during development of design.
Conducts surveys to gather field data.
Pursue certification
Secondary Duties and Responsibilities
Support systems commissioning activities, including site visits and functional testing - development and execution.
Identify, communicate, and improve design processes with other Designers.
May present design to client or design committee and discuss need for modification or change.
Provide mentoring to other staff members as directed.
Promote company reputation through good client relations.
May be required to perform other duties as assigned.

Computer skills required: Microsoft Windows environment, Microsoft Office: Word, PowerPoint, Excel; Google: Mail, Calendar, Drive, Apps; familiarity with Deltek Vision preferred
