Role Summary


The Manager, Customer Data Privacy Operations is responsible for the end to end operation of Cox’s compliance with state and federal privacy requirements, inclusive of the California Consumer Privacy Act and all subsequent legislation. This position has accountability to ensure Cox’s regulatory and internal policy obligations to consumers, regulatory agencies, and internal data privacy controls are being met.


 


Responsibilities:



  • Collaborate with Government Affairs, Privacy, Legal, Marketing, InfoSec, Supply Chain, Operations, and other affected departments to continuously improve upon a comprehensive privacy program consistent with relevant laws and regulations.

  • Ensure that new privacy requirements are considered during the design phase of new technology, product, and marketing initiatives.

  • Serve as Primary Point of Contact (POC) for Cox’s Data Subject Rights Managed Services (DSRMS) provider

  • Prepare and present reports on CCI’s fulfillment of consumer Data Subject Access Requests

  • Liaise with internal Privacy and Technology teams to update and maintain our enterprise customer information metadata catalog and data glossary, including documenting business purpose and categorization of customer data

  • Ensure established Customer Data Privacy policy and process controls are well understood and followed by the enterprise

  • Ensure timely communication of the company’s policies and procedures to employees and business partners through training and awareness activities.

  • Work with internal communications to keep a regular schedule of privacy content for awareness and improvement.

  • Lead cross functional teams to build profitable business cases supporting efficiency gains and automation of DSR request fulfillment to reduce fulfillment expenses

  • Support enterprise efforts to improve Data Privacy governance and Data Retention governance


Qualifications:


Minimum:



  • 18 years of age

  • 7+ years of related work experience (product or process development/management preferably in the telecommunications industry); 5+ years with an advanced degree

  • Well defined analytical skills and business modeling experience

  • Superior organizational and multi-tasking skills

  • Excellent communications skills with a proven record of managing cross functional project teams

  • Track record in delivering multiple projects on time and within budget with little supervision in a time critical environment

  • Strong presentation skills


Preferred:



  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business Management, Computer Science, Business Information Systems, or related field

  • 5 years of Data Security solution development experience

  • Experience in Data Management, Data Architecture, Data Discovery, Metadata Management, and Data Lineage

  • Experience in Data Privacy Governance

  • CIPM, CIPP-US, and/or CIPT certifications
