Summary:

Manages and leads a team of 6-8 employees. Communicates company goals, safety practices, and deadlines to team. Motivates team members and assesses performance. Willing to work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities:

• This individual will be responsible for leading the materials team on the receiving dock, off-loading trailers, and moving materials throughout the facility.


• Oversee team members' work for quality guideline compliance


• Willing and able to cross-train and fill in for all positions in the department


• Train new employees, answer questions, help with team member problems


• Responsible for managing others in Supervisor's absence/lead up to 8 people


• Conducts team meetings to update members on best practices and continuing expectations

Requirements:

• Must be willing to be certified to operate forklift, if not already


• Work well with others as a part of a team with the ability to motivate associates


• Many different materials and SKUs, must be well organized and have good attention to detail


• Good organization and communication skills


• Fast paced work environment; need to have the ability to multi-task
