We are seeking a Service Project Management Leader (SPML) for our South Region, preferably out of our office in Atlanta, GA. This role leads the Southern Region Service Projects Business. Position supervises several Managers responsible for complete end-to-end installation of integrated Honeywell Building Solutions (HBS) service projects. Ensures delivery of installation projects within budgets, on-schedule and to the customers satisfaction by ensuring the fulfillment of contractual obligation using the most technically appropriate and cost-effective installation and engineering techniques. Effectively utilizes centralized engineering to reduce installation cost.
Responsibilities:
Primary liaison with Installation and service Sales Reps/Leaders.
Assists Americas Projects Leadership in continuously improving the delivery processes by providing input and implementation of process changes. Accountable for implementation, inspection and metrics of delivery processes for the Southern Region.
Develops comprehensive installation plan including sequencing of tasks, staff planning, and working effectively with customers, sales, engineering, region support and subcontractors.
Ensures project deadlines, contract requirements, engineering specs and code requirements are met.
Ensures the availability of cost effective and technically competent sub-contractors by negotiating agreements, establishing schedules, and monitoring subcontractor performance.
Contributes to the profitability of the project by supporting the selling of extra work orders or other project adds, minimizing deviation, and providing technical assistance to sales.
Plans, forecasts and monitors labor, equipment, installation and subcontract costs.
Ensures adequate supply of qualified craftsmen by maintaining positive working relationship with local unions.
Continuously strives to increase productivity associated with project management and installation.
Drives Billing and collection of accounts receivable by ensuring and managing customer acceptance process.
Ensures safe working environment and safe work practices are in place and enforced.
YOU MUST HAVE
3+ years of Project Management experience
3+ years of experience as a Project Manager or Leadership experience in the security, fire or controls/construction industry
WE VALUE
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
PMI/PMP certification
Previous industry experience
Excellent communication skills
Demonstrated ability to influence at varying levels across the organization
Demonstrated ability to operate independently
Ability to use experience to appropriately apply the established standards
Demonstrated ability to effectively manage a team
Previous customer service experience
