Job Description


Danfoss Power Solutions is looking for a Computer Vision Engineer to join the Autonomous Machines team in the US. As a member of this global software development team, your primary role is to support the development of a machine learning pipeline that will address challenges faced by autonomous off-highway machines. 


Job Responsibilities


Responsibilities of this role include the development of software specifications, supporting machine start-ups, and participating in design reviews, FMEAs, Safety Analysis and Hazard and Risk Assessments.

You can expect approximately up to 10% travel activity per year and sometimes your flexibility is needed as you work with people globally.

The preferred candidate has experience with modern machine learning techniques and tools, applied robotics, and software development languages including: C, C++, and Python.

As a person you are goal oriented, highly self-motivated, open-minded and good at interacting with others, across borders and cultures.


Background & Skills


To be considered for this position, you must have a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. in one of the following fields: Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related engineering field from an accredited college or university. Strong communication and collaboration skills, along with an understanding of machines, sensors and software are desired.

•    Minimum: Bachelor’s degree in information technology or equivalent (advanced degree preferred)

•    Autonomous or robotics software experience including knowledge of software processes, design and test practices

•    Fluent in C/C++

•    Experience with mobile machinery control systems

•    Embedded software development experience is a plus

•    Good English language skills in speaking and writing
