Job Description:

Omaha National is seeking a Payroll Specialist to join our growing team. This position will provide payroll processing services for our customers across the nation, positively contributing to client retention by providing best in industry customer service. The ideal candidate is a detailed, comfortable with numbers, research and problem solving. Responsibilities:

• Assist in the development of a national payroll operation, providing payroll services to a large number of customers in multiple states.
• Perform daily payroll department operations, ensuring all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely.
• Maintain current knowledge of federal, state, and local statutes, regulations, and best practices related to payroll processing.
• Research, analyze, and resolve payroll-related problems or questions.
• Positively contribute to client retention by providing exceptionally positive, clear, and effective customer service communication via phone and email.

Requirements:

• Interest in learning Payroll is preferred; could include schooling in Accounting or related field, FPC, or CPP certification, etc.
• Able to work at a moderate to high pace while processing confidential and sensitive information with a high level of accuracy.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs and a demonstrated ability to master other software applications as needed.
