We are looking for a thorough Maintenance Technician to undertake the responsibility to preserve the good condition and functionality of the equipment and premises. You will perform maintenance tasks of great variety such as electrical troubleshooting, pneumatic repairs, equipment rebuilds, painting, HVAC installations, facility repairs etc.… A Maintenance Technician is a thorough professional with a practical mind and attention to detail. The ideal candidate will be able to work autonomously and responsibly by observing all health and safety guidelines. The goal is to maintain the equipment, buildings and common areas in the best possible condition.
Responsibilities
Survey buildings and repair mechanical systems to ensure they are consistent with health and safety standards.
Perform maintenance of electrical systems (e-stop circuits, controls, facilities, circuit panels and breakers)
Assist in the setup maintenance of compressors, ventilation, refrigeration and conduct repairs when necessary.
Maintain heating and plumbing systems to ensure functionality.
Inspect alarm systems (fire, protection) and schedule maintenance and repairs.
Perform general troubleshooting of equipment and facilities (e-stop circuits, roll changes, pneumatics, controls, chain and sprocket, gearbox, clutch and motor rebuilds)
Perform weekly and monthly equipment preventative maintenance
Must be able to troubleshoot electrical circuits and use diagnostic tools
lubrication greasing and/or oiling to ensure optimum working condition
Identify and maintain critical parts
Maintain a clean and organized maintenance shop.
Able to work independently with minimal supervision
Major Duties
Perform general troubleshooting of equipment and facilities (e-stop circuits, roll changes, pneumatics, controls, chain and sprocket, gearbox, clutch and motor rebuilds)
Perform weekly and monthly equipment preventative maintenance
Must be able to troubleshoot electrical circuits and use diagnostic tools
Perform machinery cleaning, lubrication greasing and/or oiling to ensure optimum working condition
Identify and maintain critical parts
Maintain a clean and organized maintenance shop.
Able to work independently with minimal supervision
Able to work 12 hour shifts
Skills
Demonstrated experience as a maintenance technician.
Understanding of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and electro-mechanical systems.
Understanding of machine order of operation.
Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods.
Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices
Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills
Good physical condition, strength with a willingness to work overtime
High school diploma or equivalent; building maintenance technology or relevant field will be a plus
