SCHEDULE: Must be flexible to work holidays, weekends and multiple shift options
MVM, Inc. is seeking qualified full-time Administrative/Intake Lieutenant at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba Naval Station to process all new and incoming migrants and provide a range of administrative services. This position reports to the Deputy Program Manager.
Essential Function & Responsibilities:
Coordinate paperwork and undetermined migrant interviews
Process all new and incoming migrants
Compile and maintain all intake files ensuring compliance with ICE documentation
Maintain spreadsheet of all migrants undetermined and protected
Maintain all equipment necessary to effect proper transfer of new and incoming migrants from the US Coast Guard (Cubans Interdicted at Sea)
Maintain all equipment necessary to effect proper transfer of new and incoming migrants from the US Marine Corps and naval Station walk-ons
Facilitate the repatriation of all migrants as established by the US Marine Corps and the Naval Station
Prepare for Spanish/English translation as directed
Proficient with all forms necessary for all undetermined migrants
Maintain inventory of hurricane locker, to include MRE’s, emergency equipment, etc.
Review daily documentation for errors and correction
Create and modify various documents using Microsoft Office
Provide shift coverage in the absence of shift supervisors
Establish and maintain a working relationship with local military and security personnel involved with Migrant Operations
Supervise security supervisors
Minimum Qualifications & Skills:
Minimum of High School diploma or equivalent (GED)
Must be able to speak, read, write and effectively communicate in English under normal and stressful conditions
Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in public or private security, law enforcement or U.S. Military related field;
Minimum of one (1) year experience as a supervisor/manager in any field.
Must be a United States Citizen who has resided in the United States for at least three (3) of the last five (5) years
Must be 21 years of age;
Must possess a valid U.S. Passport;
Must have a valid Social Security Card issued by the Social Security Administration;
Possess strong verbal and written English communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Ability to greet the public and deal tactfully with the public;
Capable of understanding and applying written and verbal orders, rules and regulation provided in English;
Must be literate and able to fully communicate and interpret written rules, regulations, detailed written orders, training instructions and materials in English; and can compose reports;
Requires good judgment, courage, alertness, an even temperament, and an ability to render satisfactory performance thorough knowledge of his/her position responsibilities; and
Ability to maintain poise and self-control during situations that involve mental stress.
